Chelsea set their eye on Zakaria Bakali

As per Metro’s report, Chelsea are closing in on signing 18-year-old Belgian sensation, Zakaria Bakali from PSV Eindhoven. Bakali who has been named as next Eden Hazard sees his contract running out with the Dutch club next summer. It is believed that Chelsea will eventually beat Liverpool and Arsenal to avail the services of the versatile young midfielder. Bakali who has refused to sign a contract extension with PSV will be in all probability roped in by Chelsea in January itself, but they will send him on a short loan to PSV.

Manchester United close in to sign Athletic Bilbao defender Aymeric Laporte

Manchester United is believed to have set their eyes on Athletic Bilbao defender Aymeric Laporte, according to Metro. They are ready to match his transfer fees which value to a whopping £32 million. Aymeric, 20, is regarded as one of the most exciting defensive prospects in the world right now. The French defender was also linked with Arsenal which will solve their problems regarding defense. Laporte is a Manchester United fan, and it is believed that this aspect may help United rope in the talent.

Manchester United and Arsenal target West Ham defender, Winston Reid

West Ham United’s 26-year-old centre back, Winston Reid has been linked with Premier League giants Arsenal and Manchester United. The New Zealand defender has been  in fine form for Sam Allardyce’s team this season as they sit fifth after ten games.

But West Ham officials feel that after his current contract runs out at the end of the season, other clubs will start targeting the star defender. Man United and Arsenal are both short defensively and are looking to strengthen in January. Both clubs would be interested in a player with Premier League experience, particularly for a cut-price fee in January. It is believed that West Ham are preparing to offer Reid a six-year deal on around £75,000-a-week and are desperate for him to sign it before January when he will be allowed to speak to potential suitors.

Tottenham boss, Mauricio Pochettino targets three forwards in January

Tottenham Hotspurs boss Mauricio Pochettino is ready to improve his strike force as he looks forward to signing 3 new strikers in the January transfer window. As per reports, Pochettino has targeted a £6m move for Colombian striker Teofilo Gutierrez. Also, Southampton’s English striker Jay Rodriguez is also on Spurs boss’ radar. He is also checking on Borussia Mönchengladbach winger Patrick Herrmann, a target for Inter Milan, to strengthen their forward line. Pochettino is not happy with his current set of strikers. He is skeptical of giving young English striker Harry Kane a start over regulars Emanuel Adebayor and Roberto Soldado. While Adebayor has just a few months left in his contract, Soldado has proved to be an unsuccessful buy.
