The Stars

Raymaekers, Shylo and Mendy

Wim Raymaekers became the fastest ever player in the Indian Super League to score inside 53 seconds for Delhi Dynamos. The culprit in the previous game for Dynamos turned out to be a hero after he lashed a running ball past Bracigliano in the opening minute of the game. He marshaled the defense magnificently and came up with strong tackles.

Shylo’s performance once again proved why Delhi manager Van Veldhoven is guaranteeing him a regular start. The winger is known for his speed and vision and rightly tormented the Chennayin defense. He did a great job in the flanks but missed an open opportunity against Chennaiyin FC. In the final minutes, Shylo departed for Dos Santos who went on to score for the home team.

Bernard Mendy has been rock-solid for Chennayin FC since the dawn of the Indian Super League. The defender had a good physical game but couldn’t save the blushes for his team. He moved to right back from centre-back in the latter half and was frequently seen with late-runs in an attacking flair.

The Flops

Gouramangi, Khabra and Mulder

Gouramangi Singh for Chennayin FC had a rare off-day. He didn’t move well with the ball and was caught on many times. The Indian centre-back completed a patchy 90 minutes alongside Mikael Silvestre conceding 4 goals. It was a complete horror show for Abhishek Bachchan’s side with Gouramangi being one of the main reasons.

Harmanjot Khabra did pretty well in the first-half and held a defensive midfield role alongside skipper Djordjic. But as soon Djordjic left the field, Khabra became stagnant. He was the guilty party for Chennaiyin FC after he fouled Shouvik in the penalty area giving away a cheap penalty.

Hans Mulder for Delhi Dynamos was a complete lackluster player. The Belgian midfielder didn’t do anything significant for his team and was rash with his tackles. He was later penalized for his offense on a Chennaiyin player.
