Indian Super League, powered by IMG Reliance, released their official logo hours earlier. The dignitaries that were present during the unveiling were chairperson of IMG-Reliance, Nita Ambani, President of the All India Football Federation (AIFF), Praful Patel, Chairman & MD, Hero MotorCorp (title sponsors) Pawan Munjal, COO of broadcasting partners Star India, Sanjay Gupta.

Nita Ambani revealed how the aim of the competition is to take football in India to a new level, “We all have a dream of seeing India at the World Cup. Let’s all work together to make this dream possible.
“In the first year itself, we will reach out to 1 million kids through grassroots programs,” she added.

Sachin Tendulkar stated that he had a vision for India called ‘Sports for all’, “It’s not about turning every child into a professional sportsman, but about making them healthy and fit.”

AIFF President Praful Patel said, “This is the first tournament of its kind that has got its approval from FIFA. This is a special dispensation given to AIFF. I-League is the mainstay of Indian football and will continue to be so.”
