Pune FC announced hours earlier that they have parted ways with their coach Mike Snoei.

The club statement read,  “The Club would like to thank Mike for the integrity with which he has worked at the club and would like to wish him best for the future.”

The decision comes as a surprise as Pune were making good strides with their youth team. Many unknown faces were developing under the Dutchman, however, it is believed that a 7th placed finish combined with bad performances in the Cups lead to the sacking.

Earlier in the week, Mohun Bagan continued their rebuilding process under new technical director Subhash Bhowmick by signing talented Indian striker Jeje Lalpekhlua on a 1-year contract.

At Dempo, transfer proceedings were at full swing as they tied down Tolgay Ozbey and Haroon Amiri to new 1-year contracts.

The club also announced the signing of defender Rowilson Rodrigues from Mohun Bagan.

In other news, AIFF will have to guarantee $25 Million in order to host the FIFA Club World Cup in 2015 and 2016.

AIFF secretary general Kushal Das told IANS on Tuesday, “It is a tough challenge indeed for the AIFF to raise such a huge amount of 25 million dollars. But we are confident that we would get the required guarantees for FIFA. For that, we have to sell six local packages (sponsors), which are not in conflict with FIFA sponsors.”

It was earlier reported that AIFF might be looking at the possibility of hosting the FIFA Club World Cup in 2018 and 2019, but it now seems that they are looking to host the tournament as early as they can.
