Reigning world and European champions Spain revealed their 30-man provisional squad for their title defence in Brazil. Coach Vicente del Bosque named a squad that did not surprise many. First team regular Alvaro Arbeloa misses out due to his long layoff due to injury and also Victor Valdes will miss the showpiece event in South America due to an injury that cut short his much talked about farewell from Barcelona.

Real Madrid’s Dani Carvajal, Athletic Bilbao’s Ander Iturraspe, Atletico Madrid’s Koke and Sevilla’s Alberto Moreno are some of the new faces in the squad which will be trimmed down to 23 by May 25.
