Lewandowski scored twice as Bayern retain the Telkom cup , fellow new signing sebastian Rode was also on target .

Lewandowski put bayern ahead with a fine header from Ribbery’s cross , Rode got on the score sheet next , Lewa completed the scoring just  before the break to effectively secure the pre-season trophy for Pep Guardiola’s men.

Olimpija 1-2 Chelsea

 

Chelsea came from behind to beat their Slovenian opponents 2-1 thanks to goals from new signing Costa and Kurt Zouma.

The hosts hit the front five minutes before the interval, Nik Kapun smashing past young goalkeeper Matej Delac after Darijan Matic’s chested lay-off on the edge of the area.

Chelsea equalised through Costa as he latched onto a through ball from Fabregas and smashed the ball into the net.

Shortly after that  Zouma put the ball home after Fernando Torres saw his shot parried back out into the danger area by Olimpija goalkeeper Aleksander Seliga.

Liverpool 1-0 Olympiakos

Sterling produced a neat finish as he scored the only goal of the game to win the game for the Reds.

The winger struck after just five minutes of play at Soldier Field in Chicago, finishing coolly after latching onto a deflected strike from Daniel Sturridge.

New signing Lukas Markovic was very lively and was involved in most of the quick liverpool counter attacks.

Olympiakos had appeals for a penalty waved away in the 35th minute, as Javier Saviola earned a yellow card for simulation inside the area.

Dortmund 5-1 Rot-Weiss Essen

New signing Ciro Immobile was on target for Dortmund as they thrashed Rot-Weiss Essen 5-1 in a pre-season friendly on Sunday.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang netted a double – though he had to be subbed due to an injury, while Neven Subotic and Henrikh Mkhitaryan were also on target before Cebio Soukou grabbed a consolation for the hosts at Stadion Essen, with all six goals coming in the first half.

Dortmund took their foot off the pedal as they made a host of changes in the second half.
