Atletico de Kolkata winger Sanju Pradhan feels his side will miss the services of marquee signing Luis Garcia but insists the pressure will be on the opponents, when the Sourav Ganguly co-owned side take on FC Goa at the Fatorda Stadium on Thursday.

Garcia, the former Spanish international, sustained a hamstring injury during Kolkata’s 1-1 draw against the Delhi Dynamos on Sunday, and might miss out of the game in Goa, but Pradhan feels that the absence of the former Liverpool midfielder might provide a platform for the other players to step up and perform in his stead.

“He’s one of our main players, but his absence will give others an opportunity to prove a point”, the former East Bengal player was quoted as saying by IBN.

Currently leading the Indian Super League table with seven points in three outings, the West Bengal outfit has been unbeatable so far. And Pradhan feels that Zico’s side, who are yet to register a win in the inaugural season, will definitely be under a lot of pressure to perform and bag those important three points on their home turf.

“We have seven points from three matches, so the pressure will be on them as they have one point from two outings. But, they have quality players and we respect every opposition”, the 25-year-old added.

Atletico de Kolkata, who host Kerela Blasters at the Salt Lake Stadium on Sunday, are just a point above Chennaiyin FC and will be hoping to increase this gap,  before they travel to Tamil Nadu to face the South Indian side in a top of the table clash on 4th November.
