Indian Super League may enjoy the presence of French legend Theirry Henry next season.

According to a French newspaper, L’equipe, the Arsenal legend has already showed his interest towards the new league in India after conversations with Robert Pires, David Trezeguet and Nicolas Anelka, who are already featuring in the league.

Robert Pires in all probability will take over the FC Goa side as a player cum manager in the coming season, with present coach Zico being linked with the Indian national team as their next coach.

The organisers had plans to incur his services in the inaugural season of ISL, but the French forward still had one year of contract with New York Red Bulls. Henry sees his contract expire next season and is most likely to join the Indian Super League in its next edition.

The Indian Super League has so far achieved success in gaining popularity in India. The likes of Del Piero, Fredirk Ljungberg, etc have already built a brand name for the tournament in the global arena.

Theirry Henry, 37, is still capable of playing good football. His stint at the Major League Soccer, USA has been a satisfactory one so far.

Other reports suggestes that ex-Manchester United defender, Rio Ferdinand is considering a move to the ISL next season. Along with the Englishman, current Bayern Munich forward Claudio Pizarro is also likely to join the tournament.

Ferdinand is currently enjoying his stint at Premier League side Queens Park Rangers.
