After 3 games of each team down and dusted in the ISL, we look at the teams as where they lie in the table. Though these are early days to predict anything as it is a long way to go, we have come up with a small review of each team.

Atletico De Kolkata

They are in red hot form from the onset and are the surely the title contenders for the inaugural Hero Indian Super League. The Kolkata laden side is sitting on top of the table with 11 points from 5 games. Fikru Teferra is the hit-man for the team and with the likes of Garcia, Sahni, Borja and Josemi, he has ahd brilliant support.

NorthEast United FC

John Abraham’s side is second in the table and has performed decently till date. Skipper Joan Capdevilla is proving to be a great recruit for the team as he is marshaling the team very well. The Highlanders are a surprise package as players like Koke, Boro and Tzorvas can surprise the opponents on their day.

Chennaiyin FC

Chennaiyin FC were a good defense unit they conceded 4 goals against the Dynamos. With the likes of Silvestre, Mendy and Gouramangi, not many can get through their defense. Materazzi’s men depend a lot on their defensive trio and also from their marquee signing Elano who has been brilliant so far.

Delhi Dynamos

Van Veldhoven’s boys made a slow start in the tournament by plucking 2 draws and 1 win. Delhi Dynamos earned their first win by thrashing Chennayin FC and the team banks a lot of expectations on the Juventus legend Del Piero. They are a good side with rich foreign talents as well as domestic players.

FC Pune City

With Hrithik Roshan adding the much needed Bollywood glamour for his team, FC Pune failed to make an impression in the ongoing ISL. The team breathed a sigh of relief after the prodigal Trezguet netted his first goal and won it for the fans after their thumping against Mumbai City. The team as well as its fans would love to see the French striker back in his old form and score goals.

Mumbai City FC

The men in blue are tottering in the 6th place and need to show some consistency. They were devoid of experienced Anelka in their first 3 games and his return may well bring smiles to Ranbir and his team. Mumbai did run riot against Pune in their first home game, but were given a reality check by the visiting NorthEast United in the next game. The hat-trick hero Moritz alongside Ljunberg and Anelka has to carve out something extraordinary for Mumbai City.

Kerala Blasters

The Blasters have only managed to earn a single point after 3 games and veteran David James has to reshape his tactics. The Sachin co-owned side lacks finishing and the whole responsibility is shouldered by Hume. The whole team has to work as a unit in a disciplined manner if they want to win ahead.

FC Goa

This team is at the rock bottom of the table and has performed below par according to the standards. With legendary Zico being its manager, FC Goa must show character and resilience to change its fortunes. The hapless Goa has to come with all guns blazing with Pires delivering from the front.
